The main function of the rotary drive device is to integrate a full cycle rotary reduction transmission mechanism with a driving power source. It can use the other ring as both a driving follower and a connecting base for the driven working component, thereby efficiently configuring the driving power source and main transmission components, making it a universal reduction transmission mechanism that integrates rotation, reduction, and driving functions, while also having a simple structure and convenient manufacturing and maintenance.
The slewing drive device is usually composed of slewing ring, worm, motor, housing and other parts. It not only has the functions of slewing ring connection, rotation, support and so on, but also has the advantages of Worm drive, such as compact structure, large output torque, smooth transmission and so on.
Slew Drive are widely used in PV,CPV,STP solar tracking systems and construction applications including truck cranes, manlifts, turntables, port machinery, modular vehicles, small wind power systems and satellite communications.
Glossary
Tilting Moment Torque: Torque is the load multiplied by distance between the position of load and the center of slewing bearing. If the qorque generated by load and distance is greater than the rated tilting moment torque, slewing drive will be overturned.
Radial load: Load vertical to the axis of slewing bearing
Axial load: Load parallel to the axis of slewing bearing
Holding torque:It is the reverse torque.When the drive is rotating reversely, and parts are not damaged,The maximum torque achieved is called holding torque.
Self-locking: Only when loaded, the slewing drive is not able to reverse rotate and thus called self-loc
